In order to provide personal and individualized services we do not accept any insurance plans. Working through an insurance company forces us to provide a diagnosis to insurance which is added to your insurance profile and can be used to raise your rates/determine coverage in the future as well as your insurance company being in control of your treatment (limit sessions, types of treatment) instead of you. We can provide you with a Superbill statement for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement per your policy if requested. We accept cash/check/major credit/debit cards.
Many times once we recognize that we may benefit from having a professional perspective in our life, it can be overwhelming to find the services that would benefit us. We provide a free 15 minute consultation in order discuss your goals/expectations for treatment and if we feel that we are a good fit as well as what types of therapy may benefit you. It is important that you feel comfortable and confident in your therapist choice to best facilitate the therapeutic process and relationship.
Your therapy journey depends on your individual needs, goals and progress. We begin services with an initial intake where we complete an assessment in order to establish a treatment plan of your goals, services and anticipated sessions. Many people start services on a weekly basis and taper down to less frequent sessions as goals are achieved. Throughout your therapy journey, your and your therapist will continue to re-assess your progress towards your goals and decide when it is appropriate for you to discharge from services.
Therapy is dependent on the therapeutic process which is relational in nature. While many people enjoy the ease and simplicity video sessions can provide we feel it can hinder or prolong the development of the therapeutic relationship which is why we prefer in-person sessions, especially during trauma work. Due to the recent COVID-19 outbreak, we understand the need to engage in video sessions for some clients thus are prepared to provide the same quality services as in-person individual sessions through a secure video platform. If your therapist and you find that EMDR is a good fit for you, we can offer a hybrid model of in-person and video sessions to fit the needs of the EMDR phases. Your safety as well as our own is of the utmost importance to us thus we sanitize after each client, safely distance as needed and wear masks to each's comfort levels.
